It is intimate Mozart that will be played this year in the Crest and Dieulefit churches, but also under the mature trees of the Saoû forest in theThéâtre de Verdure in Nyons, castle courtyards in Suze-la-Rousse and Chabeuil, cellars in Tain l’ Hermitage and on the Place du Cagnard in the heart of the village in the setting sun which illuminates the limestone cliffs.

Because Henri Fuoc, former assistant chief editor at RMC and l’Express, in love with Saoû and Mozart, wanted it that way, this festival, unique in France, is also unique of its kind.

There you will meet the most fabulous interpreters such as Anne Queffélec at the piano, Mirijam Contzen, violinist, accompanied by the Waldstein Quartet she created, or even the Carpe Diem Ensemble who will play The Enchanted Flute in the forest.

But one will also know how to meet the most humane of the musicians. The formula is perfect. Every year, concerts are full booked and lovers of the Salzburg musician rush to Saoû.

Intimate Mozart, is thus the theme of the year. One could consider it futile. All the work of Mozart carries in itself this magic and this true emotion, the one of intimacy.

But it is a question this year for the festival, on the fringes of a lied, a duet, a sonata for piano or glass harmonica, the glass harmonica dear to the composer, to discover some forgotten pages and even, for the French première, the plays, written for his sister Nannerl, sleeping on the Library shelves in Salzburg.

With the Baden-Baden Philarmonique Orchestra on the village square and until the stars come out, one by one in the sky of the Drôme, one more time, one shall feel in harmony with Mozart.
