Fast and good

Great cooks such as Paul Bocuse, chef of chefs, and Marc Veyrat, the chef with the Savoyard hat, were really needed to dare to undertake gastronomic fast food. In Lyon and in Annecy, the Ouest Express and Cozna Vera proposes dishes and quality sandwiches for gourmets in a hurry. And, as for the prices, one can go there every day or almost!

Paul Bocuse, the phenomenon, the chef known all over the world, formidably surrounded with a battalion of Best Workers in France, launched, in January, 2008, a new concept, the Ouest Express.

In reference to one of its brasseries installed at the four cardinal points in Lyon. Behind l’Ouest, on the edge of the Saône and adjoining the new Multiplex Pathé cinema in Vaise, a French-style fast food has begun its career.

Lightning success of course for the gourmet coffee (with a delicious macaroon), pasta dishes, traditional simmered dishes such as the boeuf bourguignon, hamburgers with chopped beef from Limousin, salads, fromage frais with fruit coulis and a marvel of a chocolate tart.

So much so that, from December, 2009, another Ouest Express has opened, in the new gallery of the Part Dieu Mall (just a step from the railway station of the same name…).

During the whole festive period, one could savour a hamburger with foie gras for 1€ more than an ordinary one!

Of course other openings are planned. Inhabitants of Lyon and everyone who can visit them are lucky.

In Annecy, Marc Veyrat, the chef crazy about flavours, who closed his 3 star restaurant on the lakeside, now only swears by organic products and suggests trying natural products. In jars, to be heated in a bain-marie or on the spot. A real treat!

The opportunity also for lovers to celebrate Valentine’s Day in great restaurants without ruining oneself. It is rare and it is good!
