In summer, the cultural season is in full swing with two essential events which cannot be missed. The Fourvière Nights will welcome this year prestigious concerts from the four corners of the world. Dance, theatre, music and cinema are gathered within the site of the Fouvière Gallo-Roman Theatres, which is registered on the UNESCO world heritage.
Every year, this long-term edition, which lasts two months, produces and co-produces world creations, exclusively presented at the Fourvière Nights.
Another ancient theatre, the one of Vienna, has been welcoming for thirty years, a very eclectic jazz programming concerned about straying from the beaten tracks of the artists’ summer tours.
It is the first jazz festival in France, the first cultural event in Rhône-Alpes and one of the very first European festivals. With, this year, the sacred music of Duke Ellington and the unique presence of the Harlem Jubilee Singers, carte blanche to Martial Solal, but also an exclusive show by Seal with Yaà«l Naim in the first half for a tribute to Joni Mitchell.
To discover all of this, you need time, thus the idea of the Week-ends fous de Lyon which allow you to choose the category of your hotel between one and four stars and to benefit from the second night at half-price. Cherry on the cake, a preferential rate on the Lyon City Card which offers free access to more than forty leisure activities, not counting reductions on many others!
