Shopping in the attractive shops of Annecy centre, strolls along the canals of the well-named Venice of the Alps , discovery of the amazing heritage of this magnificent city coiled between lake and mountains and a special moment, sitting at the table of one of its excellent restaurants, it is urgent to discover this attractive city, candidate to host the 2018 Winter Olympics.

To support its application for the Winter Olympics, Annecy, not only has two hundred and twenty kilometres of slopes from the Aravis range, but also from the resources of every Haut-Savoyard resort, in the direction of Chamonix.

Every skier going there to enjoy winter sports know that it is absolutely necessary to reserve a day to come down to visit the old town of Annecy and its Museum-castle, to follow the Heritage guides who tell the story of this city of Art and History and all its secrets; go along the lake in the direction of the Imperial Palace, four stars Luxury hotel, hidden in its big park where everyone likes strolling in all seasons.

You can discover the traditional market and shop for Savoyard products to be tasted there and taken home, before visiting the Jardins de l’Europe and its hundred-year-old trees and then joining the Pâquier by the Pont des Amours (make a wish!)

Afterward, en route for a round of shopping in the elegant shops concentrated in the pedestrian streets.

Do not miss lastly, good restaurants such as the Ciboulette of Georges Paccard; the Reine des Prés, restaurant and tearoom of Carine, the daughter of the 3 star chef Marc Veyrat, the man with the hat, which only opens in summer and the Auberge du Père Bise in Talloires, on the most attractive bank of the lake.
